It includes harmonising melodies, adding melodies to basses, realizing figured bass, questions and answers etc. This copy belonged to Edgar Robinson son of the organist of Gainsborough parish church. He was assistant organist at Lincoln Cathedral and later choirmaster at Liverpool Cathedral. Sir John Stainer was organist at Magdalen College Oxford and then at St Paul's Cathedral and Professor of music at Oxford.
