The arms are attached to the puppet; The sleeve on the inside fits comfortably and leads straight to the mouth. I also have Kermit the frog puppets up for sale for a significantly lower price.

We carefully removed the truncheon by unwinding the string, as we found it got in the way for what we wanted. We did NOT cut the string, so it could be re-attached to the puppet's hand again! The string was wrapped round the puppet's hand and round the truncheon.
